"They Support The Troops, But Not The War" Yeah Right......
We all know what a crock of chit that always has been and still is. And here comes some more not seen enough real life proof that the left for the most part has nothing but disdain and scorn for the military and anytime they tell you otherwise you can show them this among the other many available examples that show otherwise.
The father of an Air Force pilot was spit upon during a visit to Ithaca recently according to the article/opinion commentary submission to the Ithaca journal cited below:
I am a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. I have been overseas twice, the first time during the Gulf War and most recently in support of the global war on terrorism. I am also a member of the Trumansburg American Legion. Recently an individual that frequents our legion recounted an incident that happened to him in Ithaca. He has a son who is a pilot in the Air Force and displays a sticker stating the same on his vehicle. A woman walked up to him and asked him if that was his vehicle, he stated it was and reiterated that his son was in the Air Force, the woman responded by stating that his son was a “Killer” and then spit on him.
I am appalled at the actions of this woman. She doesn't have to agree with what is going on overseas but should be extremely grateful for individuals such as myself, this individual's son and thousands of others that make it so that she can sleep at night without having to worry that her freedom that she so enjoys is going to be taken away. She should be embarrassed by her actions.

Continue there to see the lefty comments (new window) deposited by some of the lefty Ithaca New York Residents accusing the writer of this editorial of making up the story and others of doing the same, including during Vietnam. The typical left wing lunatic fringe blather always seen in response to them being accurately accused and portrayed as idiotic and unpatriotic by we on the right.
In addition to that, I know first hand what a nutjob community it is having spent substantial time there in the 80's as my younger brother went to school for 4 years at Cornell University as one of the few you can bet conservatives there, excelling academically as well as athletically beyond 95% of the liberal student population. Although the political climate was not quite as volatile then as it is now, it sure was lib-city to me and him along with his roommates and fraternity brethren that I knew, which was most of them.
