Tamara Anne Moonier, 29, of Dana Point tearfully apologized before being sentenced for felony grand theft, perjury and presenting a false claim to the state. She had received $1,850 from the state as part of a program that helps crime victims.
'I've changed my life,' said Moonier, who has been diagnosed with depression and bipolar disorder. 'I take my medicine. I never believed I had an illness until this happened. I'm very, very sorry.'
According to prosecutors, Moonier told police in June 2004 that she had been kidnapped at gunpoint and was taken to an unknown location where she was repeatedly raped by the six men."

"If there was no video those six men could have spent a long time in state prison," Orange County Judge Carla Singer said during Thursday's sentencing.
Singer said the last three months of Moonier's sentence could be served under home confinement.
