This Ramsey Clark, as far as many are concerned and I'm right at the top of this list, should just stay in Iraq since he loves defending enemies of the U.S. so much.
Aside from that, he now knows he can't save Saddam in the courtroom no matter how much of a kangaroo court if has become. So he now is trying to save the dictator by inciting and encouraging the sunni's that may still be sympathetic to Saddam to rise up against troops with violence in protest of the anticipated hanging.
Way to go Ramsey! Just like a democrat to stir up the enemy while troops continue to be in harms way. Of coarse he and his defenders will say he's just trying to warn the military leaders and politico's as if they haven't already contemplated this scenario without his insurgency friendly choreographic input.

Former U-S Attorney General Ramsey Clark says he fears that hanging Saddam and the others would ignite 'catastrophic violence.' He goes so far as to say it would lead to 'the end of civilization as we know.'
Clark -- part of Saddam's legal team -- says the former leader's Sunni Muslim tribe would be enraged over what they would consider a revenge killing by the Shiite-controlled and U-S-sponsored government.
Saddam and the other defendants, who include his vice president, are being tried for genocide in the deaths of Iraqi Kurds during the late 1980s." read more
