Israelis hack Ahmadinejad's blog - News from Israel, Ynetnews: "Israeli bloggers claim to have overloaded website of Iranian president, causing it to crash
The Iranian website ahmadinejad.com, in which Iranian officials claim the Iranian President publishes a daily journal , was down for a few hours on Monday.
Following a report by Yedioth Ahronoth on Sunday about the site, Israeli hackers called for a joint effort to hack the site."
On Monday afternoon, the site was down for an hour and in the evening the site worked alternately.Israelis bloggers claimed Monday that the site was down because of a joint effort by thousands of Israelis to enter the site simultaneously, causing it to crash.
Despite the effort, the site was operational late Sunday evening.
Kinda Like their effort against Hezbollah, they meant well but didn't really cause irreparable damage. Maybe next time they'll administer the death blow, in both cases.
But if this news is true, don't count on it.
As if their agreement to a cease fire before wiping Hezbollah off the map wasn't bad enough, now they are actually considering this prisoner exchange fiasco highlighted in the Sun story below with the terrorists. Why not just put up a surrender sign at the border and rename Israel "French Hezbollahland North"?
If I was an Israeli citizen I'd be even more pissed than I am as an American citizen, and we know they are not happy with their government over this. They've really emboldened these terrorists with these missteps, with no thanks to our government agreeing to this United Nations cease fire. This has emboldened them (the UN) and their support for terrorists as well.
If Israel agrees to this with Hezbollah then they will certainly be entitled to call it a victory no doubt, and Israel as well as we in the west can expect more terror up the road for sure.
Israel Will Try To Negotiate Prisoner SwapTEL AVIV, Israel — After numerous failed rescue attempts and a cease-fire agreement, Israel will try to negotiate a prisoner swap to secure the release of the two soldiers whose kidnapping by Hezbollah last month set off the war.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Olmert appointed a former top security official, Ofer Dekel, to work out how the two captured soldiers, Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, can be returned home safely.
Mr. Dekel, once the deputy chief of Israel's internal security service, Shin Bet, also will attempt to obtain the release of Corporal Gilad Shalit, who was captured by Hamas in June in a crossborder raid that provoked Israeli incursions into Gaza. full story
