Any bets that by Tuesday morning's headline reads "Cease Fire Off" due to the terrorists from hezbollah not adhering to it? I didn't think so.
The things most problematic about this little arrangement to me and I'm sure many others are as follows: Terrorist organization Hezbollah goes from one sovereign country (Lebanon) into another sovereign nation (Israel), murders 8 Israeli soldiers, kidnaps 2, fires countless indiscriminate missles into Israel, ignites war that is then after a month brought to a cease fire by the Useless United Nations bearing our endorsement without the return of the soldiers that started it all in the 1st place.
Since when do the law abiding countries of the world start negotiating peace treaties with terror outfits?
Starting now, I guess. Who's next, Al Queda? Will we be signing treaties with them as well? Oh boy.
More on this subject and what this cease fire will cost all of us in the eyes of Adam Brodsky, whom I happen to agree with on this issue and many others..

My Way News - Israel-Lebanon Cease-Fire Goes Into Effect: "JERUSALEM (AP) - Israel halted its offensive against Hezbollah guerrillas as a U.N.-imposed cease-fire went into effect Monday after a month of warfare that killed more than 900 people, devastated much of south Lebanon and forced hundreds of thousands of Israelis into bomb shelters.
A half hour after the cease-fire took hold, Israeli warplanes - a regular fixture in Lebanese skies during the monthlong war - were absent across huge swaths of the country, including the Bekaa Valley, where airstrikes hit about an hour before." read more

LOSING GROUND By ADAM BRODSKY - New York Post Online Edition: Postopinion: "August 13, 2006 -- AS Israel and Hezbollah wrap up their warring, the winner may not yet be clear - but the loser is: us. The enemies of modernity and freedom have grown stronger in the past weeks. So our fight ahead will be tougher.
In Lebanon, much of the outcome is now known. Israel won't deliver a coup de grace to the terrorists; they're too numerous, shadowy and well-armed. Jerusalem isn't willing to sustain large lossses (who can blame it?) or kill large numbers of 'civilians.'
So a rump Hezbollah will reconstitute, with losses replenished by Damascus and Tehran. (Indeed, since it's an extension of Iran, you can't wipe out Hezbollah without confronting Iran, too.)
The region will see Hezbollah's survival as a victory - and rally round." full column
