BBC NEWS | Middle East | Saddam 'forced' back to his trial: "Former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, who had been on hunger strike, says he was taken to court from his hospital bed against his will as his trial resumed.Boo friggin Hoo poor Saddam. Maybe I'm confused, but isn't that what happens to defendants in most trials that are being held without bail? Seems to me that most of the guys and gals you see in orange jump suits with leg irons and handcuffs being led into the courtroom are there against their will, NO?
'Your honour the presiding judge, I was brought here forcibly,' he said.
He was taken to hospital on Sunday because of his hunger strike, which he reportedly began on 7 July in protest at the killing of three of his lawyers.
Legal proceedings went ahead on Monday, but without Saddam Hussein who was being treated in hospital.
On Wednesday, he told the court: 'I was brought against my will directly from the hospital... The Americans insisted that I come against my will. This is not fair." more
This is not fair? Are you fu^&%$# kidding me? One of the most treacherous dictators in all of human history complaining that he is not being treated fairly? I sure wish our soldiers would have been given a greenlight to shoot this bastard dead in the spiderhole from which he crawled out of. That would have been better treatment than most of his victims ever received.
