CHICAGO / Chicago Tribune -- President Bush is expected to stump for Republican gubernatorial candidate Judy Baar Topinka and tout his plan to boost the competitiveness of U.S. industry during a two-day visit to Illinois.
Bush's visit, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, also will include dinner with Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley and the presentation of an award to a volunteer from the northern Illinois village of Lindenhurst, the White House said.
