Hollywood Icon & Original 'Charlie's Angel' Farrah Fawcett dies at 62

So sad she suffered so much at the end of her life, and did so very publicly and stoically so others would have a better understanding of what people are going through suffering from the deadly curse known as cancer, just being shown a month ago in that highly controversial documentary on NBC which I actually Tivo'd and will watch again no doubt with a different feeling.

Of coarse may she finally rest in peace, and her loved ones be comforted in with this terrible loss we all suffer as part of the journey called life although her drug addicted son with longtime lover Ryan O'Neal spent her last days sadly locked away in a jail cell which had to be devastating to both her and him.

She leaves behind many fond memories for many Americans who grew up as I did in the seventies.

The sick and sad things drugs do to people.

Ed McMahon and Farah Fawcett in the same week, pray tell a third awaits fate as the sad but often true "happens in three's" theory hopefully stays at bay this time around.
'Charlie's Angel' Farrah Fawcett dies at 62

"LOS ANGELES (AP) - Farrah Fawcett, whose stunning looks and blinding smile made her a pop icon of the 1970s, has died. She was 62.

Her spokesman, Paul Bloch, says Fawcett died Thursday morning in a Santa Monica hospital. Her 2 1/2-year battle with cancer was depicted in the TV documentary 'Farrah's Story.'

She burst on the scene in 1976 as one-third of the crime-fighting trio in TV's 'Charlie's Angeles.' A poster of her in a clingy swimsuit sold in the millions.

She left the show after one season but had a flop on the big screen with 'Somebody Killed Her Husband.' She turned to more serious roles in the 1980s and 1990s, winning praise playing an abused wife in 'The Burning Bed.'"

I was one of those kids in the seventies who had a massive crush on this lady, these pictures and video clips in this little tribute are all from those good old days when being a kid was innocent and a lot more fun than it is today.
