Mission Accomplished - Today U.S. Marines End Role in Iraq

A job well done by our fine Marines who wrapped up operations in Iraq today finally after 7 years, all come home hero's, and hopefully won't be the recipients of any abuse from liberals upon their return, as has been the case in other wars in modern times.

So finally this sign can be pulled back out again and we mean it this time.

U.S. Marines end role in Iraq

Conflict in Iraq- msnbc.com: "BAGHDAD - The U.S. Marine Corps wrapped nearly seven years in Iraq Saturday, handing over duties to the Army and signaling the beginning of an accelerated withdrawal of American troops as the U.S. turns its focus away from the waning Iraqi war to a growing one in Afghanistan.

In Baghdad, meanwhile, Vice President Joe Biden held talks with Iraqi leaders amid growing tensions over plans to ban election candidates because of suspected links to Saddam Hussein's regime.

The White House worries the election blacklist of more than 500 candidates could raise questions over the fairness of the March 7 parliamentary elections, which are seen as an important step in the American pullout timetable." continued
