Martin apologizes for popping player on arm - Woody Hayes Redux

Only Woody Hayes went nuts going after an opposing team's player, pretty much attacking him in an Ohio State football game. A maneuver which ended his (up to that point) illustrious football career and sadly is about the only thing he's remembered for if at all nowadays.

That should be no different for this man, as NO ONE SHOULD HIT THEIR PLAYERS from Pee Wee to the Pros and get away with it since we all know damn well if the shoe were on the other foot playtime would be over and the player done as they should be for such an infraction.  That's battery on or off the court.

College Basketball - Rivals.com: "COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP)—Kansas State’s Frank Martin is a fiery old-school screamer who expects his players to play with the same kind of passion he coaches with.

That passion got the better of Martin on Saturday—and he feels bad about it.

Caught up in the heat of a tight road game, Martin hit senior Chris Merriewether on the arm with the back of his hand late in the No. 11 Wildcats’ 74-68 loss to Missouri. Martin wasted little time in apologizing, telling reporters he was wrong before taking questions during his postgame news conference."  continued
