However later in the day the Daily Mail from Britain claims a total of nearly 2 million people with this headline and pic.....

It's looking though as it's between 50 and 100 thousand at least at around 12:37 pm cst. Any how that's a fantastic turnout coupled with all the loose knit viewing parties and assorted gathering spots across the nation millions could easily be counted on board for this historic day.
