"And that's the way it is". ...Walter Cronkite Dies

First of all may he Rest in peace and prayers to his family ... more details to come later on the death of old time News Super Anchor and unabashed liberal Walter Kronkite at 92.

At one time "The Most Trusted Man In America" and after already an already distinguished career in media, he reported as America's first News Anchor at CBS News to broadcast to the world events like the death of John F Kennedy, and the groundbreaking Apollo missions in their entirety,

Ironically his passing coming as this weekend the country observes the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11, along with years upon years of other world news events were his contributions to news and entertainment with a little closer view than the others.

He also reported from the beaches during the Normandy invasion, wading ashore right with the forwarding troops, not to mention throughout at least 2 if not 3 more American wars from the front lines after that, right through 911.

That's quite a story and that's not the half of it....

But to many, he will always be most remembered for his both good and bad Vietnam reporting, praised by some, and damned to hell by others, which I happen to belong to the latter group I must proudly confess.

However, we'll let him his spectacular life rest a few in peace, unlike those who applauded the death of Tony Snow and other conservative pundits and regular folks for that matter, they know who they are.
