In their continuing efforts to destroy the American auto industry and our freedoms, libs want you to turn in your evil gas guzzlers to be scrapped. Sen Tom Harkin's (D IA) amendment instituting Democrat's "cash for clunkers" program was deferred at the last minute out of the final Porkulus bill, but the Dim Democrats still want it, and mark my words; It's Coming".
According to the specialty Equipment Market Association a car enthusiast trade association, the program would give Americans $2,500-$45,00 vouchers to turn in vehicles of any year that get under 18 mpg in order to BE CRUSHED.
Of coarse this program would destroy repair shops, auto restorers, and car customizing businesses both large and small. But who cares?
Says Up Chuck Schumer, according to MSNBC: "This ie an even better trade in offer than Americans could get from any car dealership."
Spoken like a true used car salesman if there ever was one.

How about scrapping this ....
Heard through the internet grapevine:
I like the program mainly for the reason that it promotes green energy. Just so you know, I'm a very sentimental girl and I'd rather spend money to convert our current cars into hybrids or electric cars than to trade it and let it end up as scrap.
